Pedigree Pig Sales
PEDIGREE WELSH PIG SOCIETY
-
3rd Annual Show & Sale
SHOW - FRIDAY 2nd.September 2011 to commence at 1.00pm
SALE - SATURDAY 3rd September 2011 to commence at 11am
The Pedigree Welsh Pig Society are once again holding their Annual
Show & Sale for Modern Breeds at Beeston Castle Auction, Nr.
Tarporley, Cheshire.
This is the third year that The Society has supported all The Modern
Breeds and is the only Show and Sale of its kind. It is important to
highlight the special attributes these pigs bring to the pork and
bacon market. If fed correctly, they retain the flavour of their
ancestory with faster growth, and benefit from excellent butchers
carasses.
The organising Committee look forward to welcoming exhibits from the
following breeds - Duroc, Large White, Landrace, Welsh & Pietrain.
This is also the venue, and last qualifying round, for the final of
The Welsh Champion of Champions Competition. The Champions from all
the BPA summer shows will compete for this prestigious award
carrying prize money of £300 for The Champion and £200 for The
Reserve. Some of them will be entered in the Sale the following day.
All pigs will be veterinary inspected prior to the Show
and must comply with their individual breed standard.
This Premier Pig sale is conducted by the leading Pedigree
Auctioneers - Wright Manley
